Lev and Samuel Goldstein of The Goldstein Family BandGet ready for continuous live music and entertainment while you nosh and schmooze at Celebration Israel.

The Goldstein Family Band Three years ago, Jonas and Meryl Goldstein joined their three sons (then 9, 12 and 14) onstage for the family’s first public musical performance. Since then,The Goldstein Family Band has performed for dozens of live audiences from Georgia to Pennsylvania. Providing a mix of rock classics, traditional Jewish favorites and modern Israeli music, their songs feature lyrics in five languages. This year’s festival marks the release of the band’s most recent CD. All proceeds support Congregation Beth Israel’s local efforts to provide meals and shelter for homeless residents, including fresh vegetables harvested from its new community garden.

Elihu Siegman ProjectI delivers Israeli folk tunes “adapted for the Appalachian sensibility and blended with the flavors of Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Florida.”

Seth Kellam and Penny White team up with their acoustic guitars to provide traditional and camp songs that inspire attendees to sing along.

Balagan features the combined acoustic guitar talents of Bob Deutsch and Perry Dror.

Mr. Twister-Asheville powers Twister Theater (in the Children’s Zone) with a wacky mix of balloon art and illusions for all ages. Expect cameo appearances from local street performers.

Children from Congregation Beth Israel, Congregation Beth HaTephila, and the Chabad House will perform favorite traditional Israeli and Jewish camp songs on the main stage.

Golda Meir, David Ben-Gurion, and Yitzak Rabin will deliver main stage entertainment the likes of which Asheville has never seen in their monologues…
